During the summer of 2015 Barrett spent a week in Katmai National Park photographing grizzly bears, and came across a mother bear with 4 cubs. 4 grizzly bear cubs is extremely rare, and being able to spend a few days with them was an incredible experience for Barrett!

Keep Up, Katmai (An Alaskan Adventure) is a kids book that follows the cubs through a day in the life of a cub in the Alaskan wild. These wild cubs explore their surroundings and watch mom as she teaches them how to fish and survive in the wild. Cubs are very playful too, and a day wouldn't be complete without some mischief.
